High school roundup: Milton wrestlers win with pins

WRESTLING

SELINSGROVE -- Milton notched five pins among its six bonus-point wins to topple Selinsgrove, 41-30, in a Heartland-I matchup Thursday.

Brian Smith (106), Logan Bennett (120), Taylor Houtz (138), Colin Arndt (152) and Ryan Preisch (170) had pins for the Black Panthers (6-5 overall). Zack Bennett posted a technical fall at 145.

The Seals (7-6) got consecutive pins from Austin Lewis (220) and Andrew Boob (285), while Bryce Reichenbach (113), Brett Benfer (132) and Joey Radel (160) all won by major decision.

Danville 12

DANVILLE -- The host Ironmen didn't have much luck in their HAC-II match against the Green Dragons, who earned nine pins on the night.

Getting the pins for Lewisburg were Brian Friery (106), Jordan Gessner (113), Dante Taylor (126), Trey Delbaugh (138), Aaron Vansickle 145), Max Reed (160), Nicholas Bernstein (182), John Ward (220) and Cody Palmer (285).

Williamsport 11

WILLIAMSPORT -- The Mustangs picked up seven pins -- all coming in the upper weights -- to down the Millionaires in the HAC-I matchup.

Getting pins for the Mustangs were Andrew Zerby (145), Cameron Snook (160), Brent Blair (170), Jerry Lewis (182), Alex Lieberman (195), Zach Longacre (220) and Adam Zerby (285).

Montgomery 24

CATAWISSA -- Late pins by Matt Fabian at 285 and Todd Lane at 120 helped the Tigers fend off the Red Raiders for the HAC-II victory. Blake Marks (152), Steve Toczylousky (170) and Chase Tillett (182) added pins for Southern.

Belleville Mennonite 33

MIDDLEBURG -- The Mustangs got plenty of scoring punch from Morgan Shirk, Chloe Wagner and Brianna Beiler to take the non-league victory.

Shirk led the team with 16 points, while Wagner added 15. Beiler chipped in an additional 12 points for Midd-West (5-7).

n Greenwood 41,

Upper Dauphin 35

MILLERSTOWN -- Anna Weger, Hattie Kuhns and Mallory Fortenbaugh each scored 11 points to lead the Wildcats to the Tri-Valley League win.

Taylor Brown tallied 13 points, and Laura Sweger also had 11 points to lead Upper Dauphin.
