HS Roundup: Selinsgrove, Warrior Run strikers continue to score

TURBOTVILLE -- Elias George scored three goals, upping his season total to 20, and Warrior Run's boys soccer team blanked Midd-West, 4-0, to remain unbeaten on Saturday.

George scored twice in the first 11 minutes for the Defenders (10-0). Masen Wagner scored the Defenders' final goal off an assist from George in the second half.

Austin Hockenbroch made nine saves for the Mustangs.

n Selinsgrove 6, Hughesville 0

HUGHESVILLE -- David Aurand had another hat trick and Chuck Pealer assisted on three goals as the Seals remained unbeaten with the Heartland crossover win.

Aurand finished his hat trick six minutes into the second half to up his season goal total to 21. Selinsgrove is now 9-0.

n North Schuylkill 3, Line Mountain 2, OT

MANDATA -- Carl Pollard scored twice early in the second half for the Eagles, but the Spartans got a late goal to equalize and then won on Luke Onuskanich's OT goal in the Schuylkill League matchup.

Pollard also made six saves for Line Mountain (1-8-, 1-5) while Austin Spotts made five saves.

COAL TOWNSHIP -- Armando Chami had a hat trick and Nick Troutman assisted on all four MCA goals as the Red Tornadoes rallied from an early deficit.

SUNBURY -- After a scoreless first half, David Mahoney scored three goals in the first 12 minutes of the second half and the Warriors pulled away for an ACAA victory Friday.

Jacob Underkoffler and Dan Severn also scored for NCS (13-0-1, 7-0 ACAA).

Walnut Street Christian 2

JERSEY SHORE -- Brandon Sheaffer had a hat tick and Blake Spangler-Jones added two goals as the Eagles flew away from Walnut Street Chroistian for an ACAA win.
