Ground Hog Day hike
Winter weather is predicted to return this weekend just in time for a wintery Ground Hog Day hike at the Montour Preserve.
The hike is scheduled for Saturday at the Preserve, near Washingtonville. This easy stroll begins at 10 a.m. and will follow the Preserve's trails.
During the hike, you will learn why this day is special while exploring the lore and the facts about groundhogs.
There will be opportunities to watch for and listen to winter songbirds while keeping a sharp eye open for signs of winter animal activities.
This will be a great opportunity for the whole family to enjoy a crisp winter morning in the out-of-doors. Please remember to dress for the weather and the time that you will be outdoors and to bring along binoculars.
