Harold Raker's predictions

Tonight's games

Danville at Jersey Shore —
Strange things have happened to teams visiting Thompson Street Stadium. The Ironmen should be able to fend off the evil spirits. Danville 35, Jersey Shore 14.

Montoursville at Lewisburg — Getting a mild scare in the Silver Bowl last week might have been a wake-up call for the Warriors. Montoursville 21, Lewisburg 17.

Newport at East Juniata — If both teams’ offense play like they have been lately, the scoreboard could be in danger. Newport 42, East Juniata 28.

Mifflinburg at Towanda — Depending what time you are reading this, the Wildcats may be well on their way to the beautiful Northern Tier. After shaking off the jet lag, the Wildcats get down to business. Mifflinburg 28, Towanda 14.

Mount Carmel at Central Columbia — The District 4 playoffs will likely be no more than a dream if the Red Tornadoes don’t win this week. Mount Carmel 20, Central 14.

Selinsgrove at Southern — It’s the first of back-to-back Homecoming Games for the Seals, who will probably enjoy the second one (at home next week) more than this one. Southern 42, Selinsgrove 21.

Shikellamy at Warrior Run — It’s time for the Braves to get their season on track and make a run for the playoffs. This will be the perfect week to do it. Shikellamy 45, Warrior Run 20.

Juniata at Upper Dauphin — What was that I said about a scoreboard? Juniata 50, Upper Dauphin 38.

Millersburg at Tri-Valley — Coach and TV alum Brad Hatter returns home with his Indians, but his old Bulldogs will not be gracious hosts. Tri-Valley 26, Millersburg 13.

Muncy at Bloomsburg — This is a huge game for District 4 Class A seeding points, despite being only week 6. Bloomsburg 20, Muncy 19.

Saturday's games

Shamokin at Milton —
Will this be the week the Indians break through for first-year coach Yaacov Yisrael? Not in the Black Panthers house on Homecoming. Milton 34, Shamokin 14.

Halifax at Line Mountain — Similar to the case with Shikellamy, the Eagles will get a chance to revive their season. Line Mountain 49, Halifax 6.

Elsewhere: Wellsboro over Athens, Bucktail over Montgomery, Sayre over Canton, Nativity BVM over Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech, North Penn-Blossburg over Cowanesque Valley, South Williamsport over Hughesville, Loyalsock over Troy, Coughlin over Williamsport, Mahanoy Area over Carson Long, Marian Catholic over Panther Valley, North Schuylkill over Tamaqua, Schuylkill Haven over Shenandoah Valley, Williams Valley over Pine Grove and Berwick over Tunkhannock.

Last week; season: 21-4; 100-29, .775.
