MILL HALL -- After blanking Altoona 1-0 in the first game of the Commissioner's Cup Tournament, Selinsgrove ran into a tough defense that wouldn't let up, as the Seals went into double overtime against Coughlin.
It was Coughlin that got the lone score, downing Selinsgrove, 1-0, to win the championship.
"I thought our defense played well. It was a really hot day and we had some players step up, especially in that overtime game" Selinsgrove coach Chris Lupolt said. "I was really pleased with our defense. We just need to find people to step up and score, that's what we need to work on."
Gavin Keller scored the Seals' only goal in the first game with an assist by Derek Menges halfway through the second half. Zach Hendricks posted a shutout with 16 saves.
The Seals (1-1) travel to Danville on Thursday.
