Area motorsports notebook: Points batle winding down at Selinsgrove

DIAMOND MINE: Jeff Strunk won Sunday's Coal Cracker 72, holding off last year's winner Doug Manmiller. It was Strunk's fourth Coal Cracker win of his career and his first since 1997. This year's Coal Cracker attracted a field of 45 358 modifieds. The track continues its points battle on Sundays through the end of September with race time set for 6:15 p.m.

RARE APPEARANCE: Williams Grove Speedway is in action tonight with a three-division show of 358 late models, Super Sportsman and the ARDC midgets. The 358 late models will go topless for a 30-lap feature. The Super Sportsman close out their 2013 points battle tonight with Frankie Herr as the points leader.
