BLOOMSBURG -- Three area tennis teams -- Danville, Milton, Selinsgrove -- have qualified for today's opening rounds of the District 4 team tournament held at Bloomsburg University, but only one team is likely to survive.

At noon, Danville plays Heartland-I runner-up Montoursville, with the winner advancing to play HAC-II runner Loyalsock.

Also at noon, Milton plays Northern Tier power Towanda, with the winner advancing to face No. 4-seeded Hughesville.

Selinsgrove, which has qualified for districts for the first time, plays Northern Tier's Liberty at 1:30 p.m. That winner then plays Bucktail at 4:30.

The first round and quarterfinals are today, while the semifinals and finals are next Tuesday at 2 p.m.

WILLIAMSPORT -- Manny Little scored twice in six-minute span of the second half to lead the Seals to the Heartland-I victory and inch them closer to a District 4 playoff berth.

Kyle Davies assisted on both of Little's goals, which were scored with 25:32 remaining and then with 19:54 left.

Selinsgrove (8-7, 6-5 HAC-I) has three games remaining on the season -- Lewisburg (Wed.), Midd-West and Milton -- and the Seals need to win one of them in order to qualify for the postseason.

"We're just going to keep plugging along and try to make the playoffs," said Selinsgrove coach Chris Lupolt.
