BLOOMSBURG -- Two former local girls soccer standouts have been contributing to the Bloomsburg University women's team as freshmen this season.
Selinsgrove High graduate Jenna Fisher and Midd-West graduate Allie Camp each scored a goal for the Huskies in their 3-1 victory over Mansfield on Sunday afternoon.
Fisher leads Bloomsburg (5-6 overall, 3-6 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) with eight goals on the season. It was Camp's first goal of her career.
Fisher and Camp are also roommates at Bloomsburg.
Missed a couple of field hockey players last week at Susquehanna University and Slippery Rock University.
Four local graduates are contributing to the Crusaders this season. Lewisburg graduate Brodie Ercole is third on the team in scoring with three goals and three assists.
Tessa Woodring is a freshman back from Mifflinburg; she has an assist this season. Woodring has started eight games on defense for Susquehanna.
Selinsgrove graduate Danielle Reber is a junior defender for the Crusaders, while Mifflinburg graduate Morgan Reish is a sophomore mid.
Erika Rohrbach is a freshman midfield/forward for the Slippery Rock field hockey team. Rohrbach, a Shikellamy graduate, has played in six games for the Rock, which is 4-7.
The PSAC is filled with local athletes on girls soccer teams. Indiana University of Pennsylvania has four on its 5-5-1 soccer team.
Junior Brittany Kuhns, a Midd-West graduate, leads the Crimson Hawks with six goals and 14 points this season. Senior Kelsey Fisher, a Selinsgrove High graduate, is second on the squad with four goals and is tied for second in points with eight.
Two freshmen from Danville are also at IUP. Casey Reber has started six games and played in all 11 for the Crimson Hawks, scoring one goal. Kiersten Zerbe has played in all 11 games.
Two Warrior Run graduates are members of the Clarion University women's soccer team.
