Lewisburg brought its power swing to Mifflinburg, hitting two home runs in a 14-3 win over Mifflinburg in five innings in West Branch League play.
Mike Fisher hit a two-run home run in the first inning and Daniel Henry followed with a solo home run in the third as part of a 4-for-4 day at the plate.
Fisher earned the start on the mound and went the distance for Lewisburg. Drew Newcomb and Luke Smith each had two hits for Lewisburg.
Hughesville 6, Montgomery 2
HUGHESVILLE — Logan Bower took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and his team allowed one hit as Hughesville beat Montgomery in West Branch League action.
“Throwing that well, that was pretty good for him,” Hughesville manager Gary Gordner said of Bower, who hadn’t pitched since the high school season.
Andrew Keller relieved Bower in the sixth and did not allow a hit the rest of the way.
“(That was a) pretty good pitching performance for us tonight,” Gordner added.
Tyler Mitcheltree hit a two-run home run in the second inning while Nevin Gouldner and Ryan McClain each drove in a run.
