H.S. soccer: Southern girls seek gold in Hershey

Harold Raker's high school football column: Selinsgrove never gave up
I don't know about you, but I have always liked a TV series which kept you guessing until the final episode. The more plot twists, the better. High school football seasons can be that way, too. For example, take the Selinsgrove Seals.
College soccer: Selinsgrove trio helping Susquehanna men succeed
Susquehanna's postseason fate was hanging in the balance when the right foot of a freshman struck the ball, sending it careening into the back of the net. The quick motion from David Aurand gave the Crusaders a one-goal lead which Susquehanna preserved to earn a return trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament after winning its second-straight Landmark Conference title. Aurand is the newest member of a group of three former Selinsgrove Seals, along with senior goalkeeper Matt Salsman and sophomore forward Gannon Keller, that have played integral roles for the Crusaders.

H.S. field hockey: Selinsgrove, Lewisburg have most HAC all-star nods
Selinsgrove and Lewisburg fought it out for both the Heartland-I and District 4 titles this year, so it was no surprise that the Seals and Green Dragons put the most players on the HAC's 2013 All-Star team as selected by the league's head coaches.

As is the norm, teams from the Williamsport area dominated the 2013 Heartland Athletic Conference All-Star selections, but a few local players managed to grab some spots.

College football: 'Game of Century' echoes 20 years later
By any measure, college football has never been bigger: the number of fans, teams, dollars rolling in, bowl games; take your pick. But two decades later, it's still open to debate whether the game ever had a better afternoon than on Nov. 13, 1993. So rewind the tape -- check that, go to YouTube -- and check out the highlights from then-No. 1 Florida State at No. 2 Notre Dame.
