SOFTBALL
LEWISBURG -- Angie Lynn pitched a complete game and went 2-for-3 to lead Danville to a 3-2 Susquehanna Valley League win over Lewisburg on Saturday.
Lynn struck out six and walked three while allowing six hits to Lewisburg (6-11, 4-11 SVL).
Danville (7-10, 7-8) scored twice in the first inning and once in the second. Carrie Mensch hit an RBI double for the Ironmen.
The Green Dragons scored twice in the fourth, with the RBIs coming from a double by Jessica Kline and from Morgan Fisher.
Col. Montour Vo-Tech 5, Central Columbia 3
ALMEDIA -- The Rams rallied for all of their runs in the third inning to upset the Blue Jays for the Mid-Penn Conference victory.
Central (17-2, 16-2 MPC) got an unearned run in the first and two more in the second on a sacrifice fly from Courtney Comstock and a triple from Bridgette Clarke.
A three-run triple by Mary Franconi highlighted the big third inning for CMVT.
Southern Columbia 6, Millville 2
MILLVILLE -- Emily Yoder batted and pitched the Tigers to the MPC victory.
Yoder hit an RBI single in the first to give Southern (13-5 overall and MPC) a 1-0 lead. She then tripled in the fourth to set up her team's second run before doubling home two more runs in the sixth.
Inside the circle, Yoder went the distance for the win. She struck out seven, walked one and gave up four hits.
Selinsgrove at Jersey Shore
JERSEY SHORE -- The SVL matchup between the Seals and the Bulldogs was postponed by rain. The game will be made up May 16.
BASEBALL
Montoursville 3, Jersey Shore 1
MONTOURSVILLE -- Vince Molesky provided the offense for the Warriors with two home runs accounting, for all three runs in the Susquehanna Valley League win over the Bulldogs. Both teams are now tied atop the league standings.
Molesky had a two-run homer in the second inning and a solo shot in the fifth for Montoursville (14-3 overall and SVL).
Chad Jacobson picked up the complete-game victory for the Warriors. He struck out 10 and didn't walk a batter as he allowed one earned run on seven hits.
Lance White and Mitch Potter paced Jersey Shore (14-3, 14-3), each going 2-for-3.
