DANVILLE -- Jersey Shore turned three double plays and Zach Schreck raced home with the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the sixth inning to lift Jersey Shore to a 4-3 Susquehanna Valley American Legion League crossover victory over Danville on Wednesday.

Danville starter Todd Moser, making his first appearance this summer on the mound, was perfect through three innings before Jersey Shore's Jake Potter homered to dead center on the first pitch of the fourth. The homer sparked a three-run Shore rally that tied the game after Danville took an early 3-0 lead.

"Todd looked tough out there," said Danville manager Harold Albertson. "It was the first time he's pitched for us this year and he looked sharp."

Dan Winnie hit a two-run homer in the first for Danville (4-3) while Anthony Renz and Corey Gallagher each added two hits.

Post 40 was victimized by three double plays, including one to end the sixth inning when Danville got its first three runners on base but could never get the equalizer.

Gaugler also pitched and got the win for Selinsgrove by working the first six innings. He allowed just four hits and had seven strikeouts

Ben Miller added a two-run double in the second that gave Selinsgrove a 5-2 lead.
