League champion Juniata led the way with five players, including Player of the Year Zach Mills, among those named to the 2008 Tri-Valley League Baseball All-Star team released this week.

Upper Dauphin and Newport were second with three players apiece. Midd-West and Halifax had two players, while Greenwood, Line Mountain and Millersburg were represented by one player apiece.

Halifax coach Rick Ansel is the coach of the year after leading the Wildcats to a tie for second place -- with Upper Dauphin -- in the TVL standings with a 12-4 record.

Juniata's five selections include seniors Jim Krinjeck, Nathan Pray and Zach Williams, junior Mills, and sophomore Tyler Kirk. Upper Dauphin is represented by seniors Matt Gessner and Jeremy Weaver, and sophomore Zach Markel.

Newport's selections include senior Matt Soccio and juniors Dowell Graham and Zack Miller. For Midd-West, senior Jose Andino and junior Ben Miller are first-team selections.

Halifax is represented by junior Chris Bickel and sophomore Dillan Ramberger.

Greenwood senior Trey Ritzman, Line Mountain junior Travis Dunkelberger, and Millersburg senior Dan Feidt round out the 18-player squad.
