SELINSGROVE -- Tyler Arbogast's two-out, three-run triple in the fifth inning helped blow the game open and give Snyder County an 11-4 Area II Major Division elimination bracket victory over Shikellamy on Wednesday at Rotary Field.

Leading by just two runs before the fifth, Snyder County scored five runs in the inning to put the game away.

Arbogast drove in a total of four runs, while Shane Connahan and Luke Zimmerman each added two hits in the win for Snyder County.

Travis Smith got the complete-game win for Snyder County. He struck out six, allowed four hits and had no walks or earned runs. Snyder County next plays the Selinsgrove-Lewisburg winner Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Ryan Kenney hit a two-run home run in the second inning for Shikellamy, which was eliminated from the tournament.

Shikellamy 9, Mifflinburg 4

BEAVER SPRINGS -- Kobe Swanger's three-run triple highlighted a six-run fourth inning for Shikellamy to take the opening-round win.

Chad Sulouff added an RBI triple in the third inning to help Shikellamy get out to a 3-1 lead.

Shikellamy next faces Lewisburg on Sunday at 3:30 p.m., while Mifflinburg drops into the elimination bracket and plays July 10 against an opponent to be determined.
