Roundup: Four-run sixth lifts Milton past Lewisburg

MILTON -- A four-run sixth inning keyed by doubles from Trevor Danowsky, Tony Fannick and Raymonde Adames propelled Milton to a 9-2 victory over Lewisburg on Thursday in a first-round game of the West Branch League American Legion playoffs.
Milton (12-6, 9-3 WBL) put the game away in the sixth as Danowsky hit a leadoff double, and it was followed by Fannick's RBI double and then by Adames' two-run double.
Robert Kerstetter, who got the complete-game win for Milton by striking out eight and walking three, got his team on the board in the first with a two-run single.
Jersey Shore 7, Montoursville 6
JERSEY SHORE -- Trailing by four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, Jersey Shore rallied for five runs with two outs to advance in the West Branch League playoffs.
With two outs, Jersey Shore (10-3) got two walks followed by a single and Mitch Potter's two-run triple that tied the game at 6.
Potter then scored the game-winning run when Andy Welsh's grounder to third was short-hopped on the throw to first.
Montoursville, which took a 6-2 lead into the bottom of the seventh, falls to 6-6.
In District 13 Little League action on Thursday:

9-10 Division
Danville 10, Milton 9
DANVILLE -- Zina Knight hit a liner over the drawn-in Milton infield to drive in the winning run, lifting Danville to a 10-9 win its last at-bat Thursday, forcing a decisive game tonight for the District 13 9-10 Division title.
Trailing 9-7 in the bottom of the sixth, Lindsey Strausser rounded the bases to make it 9-8 before Kasey Getkin singled home Hallie Yacko to tie it. Knight then drove in Getkin for the game-winning, capping a solid game from both teams.
BASEBALL
10-11 Division
South Columbia 14, Danville 2 (4 innings)
BLOOMSBURG -- Even the falling rain couldn't stop South Columbia from taking the Area I title at Town Park.
Dan Kowalski went the distance giving up only two runs on two hits.
Cody Bowman led the offensive charge hitting a three-run triple.
Kowalski connected for a double to plate two of his three RBIs in the second inning and Kent Lane followed one batter later with a triple to plate Kowalski. South Columbia completed the second inning, scoring seven runs to put the game out of reach for Danville.
South Columbia next plays Shikellamy for the District 13 title beginning Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Reg Robinson Field.
