NORTHUMBERLAND -- Alyssa Wesner recorded a hat trick as Northumberland Christian opened the season with a 7-0 Allegheny Christian Athletic Association victory over Juniata Mennonite on Tuesday.

Elise Wolff added two goals and an assist, while Abby Renno chipped in with a goal and an assist for Northumberland Christian (0-1).

Emily Murphy and Shelby Derr combined to make three saves to get the shutout.

NORTHUMBERLAND -- Joe Barner's goal off an assist from Eric Troup in double overtime gave Juniata Mennonite the Allegheny Christian Athletic Association win.

Barner finished with a hat trick and two assists, while Troup had two goals and two assists for Juniata Mennonite (1-0).

Kevin Romine scored three goals and Cody Conklin had a goal and two assists for the Northumberland Christian squad (0-1).
