High school roundup: Lourdes has big innings in softball win over Lewisburg

SOFTBALL

MOUNT CARMEL — Lourdes Regional won a wild game over Lewisburg on Friday as Caity Funk and Jayme Lentini drove in three runs apiece in a 15-5 nonleague win for the Red Raiders.

Lourdes took took a five-run lead after it scored four runs in each of the second and third innings. The Red Raiders later put the game away with a six-run fifth.

Lentini had two hits in the game for Lourdes, as did Emily Long, who also walked twice and scored three times.



BASEBALL

Southern Columbia 4, Col. Montour Vo-Tech. 1


BLOOMSBURG — Tyler Behrent hit a solo home run and Taylor Young hit a two-run double in the final two innings of the Tigers’ HAC-III victory. Southern improves to 6-2, 4-1 in league play.



Selinsgrove 8, Hughesville 8 (susp.)

HUGHESVILLE — The Heartland crossover game between the Seals and the Spartans was suspended with the hosts batting in the bottom of the fourth inning. The game will be resumed today at 4 p.m.
