MONTOURSVILLE — With the District 4 playoffs set to begin in just over a week, Warrior Run gained some momentum heading into the postseason by taking a 45-32 Heartland-II victory over Montoursville on Thursday.
Abby Fisher scored 15 points and Steph Shamburg had 13 for Warrior Run (13-6 overall), which outscored Montoursville 35-12 in the second half.
The Warriors fall to 15-5 overall and dropped out of first-place tie with Mount Carmel in HAC-II.
Lourdes Regional 47, Williams Valley 28
COAL TOWNSHIP — Another all-around solid game produced by Nikki Komara helped lead the Red Raiders to the Schuylkill League win.
Komara scored nine points and had eight rebounds, seven assists and five steals for Lourdes (17-5 overall), which also got 18 points and three steals from Rachel Schultz.
Halifax 46, Greenwood 34
MILLERSTOWN — Five points from Kylee Sorichetti jump-started Halifax’s game in the first quarter as the visitors led by nine after one and took the Tri-Valley League win.
Sorichetti and Tess Kieffer both had 11 points for Halifax.
Hattie Kuhns also tallied 11 points to lead Greenwood (3-18, 3-12 TVL).
Meadowbrook Chr. 59, Immanuel Christian 25
HAZLETON — Madison Burrows scored 27 points, and Meadowbrook Christian blanked Immanuel in the second quarter of its nonleague win.
Meadowbrook outscored Immanuel 17-0 in the second period to break open the game. Micayla Lynd added 15 points for the Lions (14-5).
Sunbury Christian 37, Belleville Mennonite 23
NORTHUMBERLAND — Blake Spangler-Jones’ 11 points helped pave the way for the Eagles’ nonleague victory.
Karch Carey added seven points, seven rebounds and three steals for Sunbury Christian (10-13).
Watsontown Chr. 69, New Covenant 63
WATSONTOWN — A fourth quarter surge was what the Crusaders needed to rally past New Covenant in a Allegheny Christian Athletic Association game.
Barry Wohlschlegel scored a team-high 33 points for Watsontown Christian (2-11 overall).
The Crusaders trailed going into the final quarter and trailed as the second quarter ended by six.
Mifflinburg 62, Williamsport 11
WILLIAMSPORT — A pin in 28 seconds by Eric Dock at 152 pounds and a pin in 38 seconds by Ty Walter at 170 were just two of the highlights for the Wildcats in a dominating HAC-I victory over the Millionaires.
Nazar Mironenko added a 57-second pin for Mifflinburg (7-7 overall) at 285 and Dakota Haines claimed a 13-11 sudden victory at 145 for the Wildcats.
Montoursville 59, Danville 15
DANVILLE — The Ironmen managed just one victory (a forfeit at the 120 pound weight) against Montoursville.
The Warriors collected five pinfalls in the win, including back to back at the 170 and 182 weight classes.
