JERSEY SHORE — Despite having two players score in double figures, the Wildcats fell to the Bulldogs in HAC-I action.
Katie Alexander scored 14 points and Kayla Kline added 12 for Mifflinburg (4-16, 2-11 HAC-I).
Lewisburg 39, Mifflinburg 26
LEWISBURG — The Green Dragons had five bonus-point wins en route to the HAC-I victory.
Max Reed (160 pounds), Nick Bernstein (182) and Jon Ward (220) all won by fall, while Logan Stenger (132) and Logan Aikey (145) scored technical falls.
Cole Walter (138) and Ty Walter (170) had pins for the Wildcats.
Mifflinburg (7-8) competes Saturday in sectionals.
Danville 48, GAR 24
WILKES-BARRE — The Ironmen won nine bouts, seven via forfeit to cruise to the nonleague win. Joe Hannon at 126 and David Burke at 160 both picked up decision wins for the Ironmen.
Shikellamy takes 6-of-8 over Danville
DANVILLE — With all five bowlers rolling a 600 series or better, the Braves took a 4-0 victory over the Ironmen in the boys match.
Randy Ripple’s 693 series (234-257-202) was tops in the match for Shikellamy. Danville got a 640 series from Nate Lubeski.
For the girls, the two teams split at 2-2. The Braves got a 541 series from Becka Klock, while Danville was led by Indeah Lewis’ 583.
District 4 Coaches Invitational
WILLIAMSPORT — Meadowbrook Christian freshman Kathryn Nolter led the area’s independent swimmers by taking first place in the 100 butterly in the meet held at Williamsport High School.
Warrior Run senior Lauren Balliet took third in the 200 freestyle, and she combined with Midd-West freshman Grayce Heckman, Line Mountain junior Lauren Giordani and Nolter to place second 400 free relay.
Next up is the District 4 championship meet held Feb. 22 and 22 at Bloomsburg University.
