SAN ANTONIO —
With 16:08 elapsed in the first half, Susquehanna’s Brandon Kates tried to feed a header into the net, only to see it get blocked.
Two seconds later, Kates successfully found the net on the loose ball and gave the Crusaders the first goal of the game and a brief 1-0 lead early in the half.
That lead was short-lived however when Keegan Ross scored just four minutes later to tie it up when he was fed a pass by Nate Bascom.
Less than two minuets later, Bascam again fed a teammate, this time Cameron Johnson to give Ohio Northern the go-ahead goal and the Polar Bears never looked back.
Ohio Northern scored twice in the second half and defeated Susquehanna, 4-1, in the third round of the NCAA men’s soccer tournament at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday afternon.

Ross added Ohio Northern’s final goal when Chuck D’Imperio sent a pass perfectly to Ross who managed to head it in past Susquehanna goalie Matt Salsman for the 3-goal lead with just over 11 minutes to play.
