'Three Days of Rain' coming to stage

BLOOMSBURG -- The Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble will present Richard Greenberg's "Three Days of Rain," May 28 through June 1 on the stage of the Alvina Krause Theatre, 226 Center St. "Three Days of Rain" is the fourth installment in BTE's "Not For Everybody" series and will be directed by Ensemble member Cassandra Pisieczko.

In "Three Days of Rain," siblings Walker and Nan reunite for the reading of their famous architect father's will. Together with a family friend, Pip, they attempt to make sense of the mysteries in their parents' lives, as the siblings discover a journal their father left behind in an abandoned New York City apartment. The puzzle comes together when, in act two, we meet the parents in 1960, young, full of hope, and living through three infamous days of rain.

Part of the "Not For Everybody Series" for the first time, the Intern Project serves as a final performance for BTE's 2007-2008 season acting interns. Kyle Yackoski plays Walker and Ned. Abigail Lottie plays Nan and Lina. Richard Cannaday plays Pip and Theo. Yackoski and Lottie are BTE interns this season, and Cannaday is a BTE ensemble membership candidate. All three have appeared with BTE throughout the 30th season. The BTE internship program provides young actors with professional training and performance opportunities.

"Three Days of Rain" runs Wednesday, May 28 through Saturday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 1 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door and through the BTE box office at 784-8181 or 1-800-282-0283 or by visiting www.bte.org.

The Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble is a non-profit, professional theatre located in the heart of Downtown Bloomsburg. Founded in 1978, BTE is enjoying its 30th Season of bringing quality entertainment to Northeastern Pennsylvania.
