LEWISBURG — The Ninth Annual Stroll Through the Arts Weekend will be held the first weekend in November, sponsored by the Lewisburg Arts Council.

The stroll will take place 6-10 p.m. Nov. 6 with more than 40 artists displaying their works in shops all along the six blocks of downtown Market Street. There will be painters, potters, jewelers, photographers and other artists from the central Susquehanna Valley region.

In conjunction with the Stroll, a silent auction will be held that evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. (closing bids at 8:15 p.m.) in Sovereign Bank, 239 Market St. This year will be the 17th annual auction, and features work donated by artists participating in the Stroll, artists who participated in last April’s Arts Festival, and local businesses.

“Dance to the Music” from 7 p.m. until at least midnight Nov. 7 with bands in downtown venues including:

n Folk Justice Band at the Temperance House, 50 N. 2nd St., from 7-10 p.m.

n Williamsport’s Vocal Jazz Quartet at the Lewisburg Club, 131 Market St., from 8-10 p.m.

n The Flecker Blues Band at the Lewisburg Hotel, 136 Market St., from 8-11 p.m.
