There・s plenty of good live music out in the Valley this weekend, from Danville to Lewisburg to Middleburg and Selinsgrove.
Go a bit further and you can get a start tonight, with the Burgess-Mitchell-Seal Trio at La Fontana, their new home in Bloomsburg. This Italian spot is at 105 W. Main St., right next to the fountain on the square, and the band plays from 6-9 p.m. Call La Fontana at 245-0057 for reservations.

Tomorrow evening, Ann Kerstetter is at the Pine Barn Inn in Danville with a special jazz and blues performance featuring Steve Adams. They・ll be there from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Call 271-2071 for reservations.

Another new jazz act premiers Friday at BJ・s on Market Street in Selinsgrove. The EVE Jazz Trio, which includes Alex Callenberger on guitars, Andy Seal of the Burgess-Mitchell-Seal Trio and drummer Jeremy Hummel, formerly of Breaking Benjamin, will be in the back room from 6:30-9:30 p.m. with a tasty menu of dinner jazz. BJ・s will be the trio・s regular Friday night stand. Call 374-9841 for reservations.

Tomorrow evening also marks the opening performance of the second season of the Shade Mountain Music Series at the Shade Mountain Winery, 16140 Route 104, Middleburg. The program, titled :Northern Lights,; features Anne Sullivan, harp, and flutist Joan Sparks with a varied program of music starting at 7:30 p.m. Call the winery at 837-3644 for more information, and don・t forget the annual open house at the winery and nearby Penns Creek Pottery on Saturday from noon-6 p.m.

Saturday・s big event is :Dance to the Music; in Lewisburg. This is day two of the Lewisburg Arts Council・s Stroll Through the Arts event, and it features five musical performances at five venues in town on Saturday night starting at 7 p.m. Check out the details in the story on the front page of the Applause section.

Other Saturday night music includes Celtica at Cherry Alley Cafe, 21 N. Third St., Lewisburg, on Saturday night from 7-9 p.m. At Ye Olde Meeting Place, Route 405 north of Milton, R-Way will play starting at 9:30 p.m. And Greg Burgess and Beverley Conrad, piano and fiddle respectively, are at Penn・s Tavern, Route 147 south of Sunbury from 6-9 p.m. Call 286-2007 for reservations.
