HARRISBURG — The Hooters, a Pennsylvania band that's marking 33 years together, will be performing a free show at the state Capitol later this month.
The band will be honored by a state Senate resolution designating April 30 as "Hooters Music Appreciation Day" in the state.
That's the day they'll be performing a noontime concert in the East Wing Rotunda of the Capitol in Harrisburg.
The Hooters are based in the Philadelphia area. The resolution's sponsor, Sen. Daylin Leach, calls them one of the most successful musical groups to have been launched in Pennsylvania.
Leach's office says the resolution is expected to be formally introduced later this week.
