Gospel music 'explodes' this weekend

NEW COLUMBIA — The Willow Lake Wesleyan Campground, 413 Buck Road in New Columbia, is hosting the 13th annual Gospel Music Explosion Saturday and Sunday. The event features a number of bands performing Southern Gospel, bluegrass, country and patriotic music.

Explosion hours are 1-8 p.m. Saturday and  2-8 p.m. Sunday. Seating is available under roof in a brand new open air pavilion. Bring your own chair. Food will be available for purchase.

Performers include the Morgan Family Band with Uncle Bean as well as Lynn Swizinsky of Muncy; Choraliers and Pearl, Spring Grove; Redeemed, Hughesville; The Wehry Family, Northumberland; Eric Cooper, Smithsburg, Md.; Tim Beitzel,  Duncannon; and His Touch, of Myerstown.

There are also full RV hookups, laundry and restroom facilities, swings, vollyball and basketball courts, and much more. Make camping reservations by calling Lisa Jo Smith at (570) 538-2790. Campers do not pay the parking fee.
