Today, there is a great show at the tabernacle at Central Oak Heights. “Songs From the Sacrifice Zone,” sponsored by the Frack Awareness Coalition, brings together some of the best musicians and songwriters in the region, including Hannah Bingman, Steve Bowman, DePotorLand, Doug McMinn, Earl Pickens and Van Wagner. The show runs from 4-6:30 p.m. and there is a $5 per person/$15 per family donation. Central Oak Heights is the first driveway south of the West Milton exit on Route 15 south. In other words, if you’re coming north on Route 15, you have to get off at West Milton and back on again to the southbound ramp, and the driveway is a couple of hundred feet south of the ramp. Be careful!
Also today, Van Wagner is at PPL’s Montour Preserve near Washingtonville. He will present his “Tall Timber” program at 2 p.m., followed by a short concert at 3.
Skeeter’s BBQ at the junction of Routes 11 and 15 in Shamokin Dam features Flipside from 5-8 p.m.
