Tonight, Anne Kerstetter and the All-Star Band of Cronies will be at The Links at Buckhorn from 8-11 p.m. Now if you haven’t been there, this would be a good occasion to check it out. You get off I-80 at the Buckhorn interchange, and you turn left at the top of the ramp, then you go up to the light at the Buckhorn Truck stop and turn left again. You go about 3/4 of a mile into the village of Buckhorn, and you’ll see a sign pointing to the next left. You turn there, go a few hundred feet and turn left once again, and there you are. It’s easy — all left turns. The food is good, the drinks are reasonable, and the band is excellent, so what’s your excuse?
Also tonight, the King Street Coffeehouse, at 353 King St., Northumberland, is open and the Dawson boys are in town for the first set. They’re back from California for a short break. Next up is our own version of the singing judge, Leo Armbruster, sure to have some melodic commentary on any number of subjects. The evening will wrap up with some toe-tapping Celtic music by Lux Bridge. Music starts at 7 p.m., there are desserts and drinks available, and the cover is still $7.
And, if you feel like a trip to Mifflinburg, Kimbo and Frank will make their second appearance of their 2012-2013 world tour at the Scarlet D on Chestnut Street tonight from 8-11. Kimbo told me to say that part about the world tour.
