Ruff Life will be at Fero Winery on JPM Road in Lewisburg from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The winery is hosting a fundraiser for Cards of Hope. The donation to get in is $5 and proceeds go to Dr. Craig Myers’ breast cancer research.
Nine Degrees of Syncopation (Carl Kirby and Joe DeCristopher on guitars, Bill Flack on bass) will play gypsy, Latin, and traditional jazz at Puirseil’s Irish Pub from 8-9 p.m.
The John Steven’s Doubleshot Polka Band will entertain the folks enjoying Octoberfest at the VFW grounds in Mifflinburg. Music is at 7. Also on Friday, Ricky & Harv are at McGuigan’s in Sunbury from 6:30-8:30 p.m. while nearby, Chicken Tractor will be at the Route 61 Roadhouse in the Market House.
Red Halo will be at the Trevorton VFW from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m.
Local artist Tim Farley will open for local band The Badlees at a CD release event for “Epiphones and Empty Rooms” at the Whitaker Center, 222 Market St., Harrisburg. Tickets are $15, $18 and $25 and available at (717) 214-ARTS.
