— The Frank Wicher Band is going to the dogs and their fans are animals or at least they will be today when Frank and the band play at the Paws in the Vineyard fundraising event at Spyglass Ridge Winery from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
There will be pets up for adoption and people activities as well as games and activities for dogs — so bring your dog! Spyglass Ridge Winery is located at 105 Carroll Road Sunbury. Admission is free.
Speaking of the band, bassist Buzz Meachum recently retired from the group. Taking his place is Mick Edinger. We wish Buzz all the best and at the same time, give a welcome to Mick.
Also today, the weekly Jazz Brunch at the Bullfrog Brewery in Williamsport happens from noon until 4 p.m. while Karen Nogle and Mark Tomeo will be up on the bluff at Skeeters in Shamokin Dam from 5-8 p.m. Maybe the nice weather will continue and this concert can be held outside.
Jim McClincy is the guest this week on Home Made Jam at 2 p.m. on 88.9 FM. WQSU is available on radio apps for your device as well.
Please send news about music and venues to Terry Baylor (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 5 p.m. on Monday for inclusion in Thursday’s “Now Here This.” Photos always welcome
