Pennsylvania Playmate to visit the Central Susquehanna Valley

SUNBURY — If you want to know what it’s like to spend a day at the world-renowned Playboy Mansion then all you need to do is ask a Northeastern Pennsylvania native who appears as Miss November in the current issue of Playboy when she visits the Greater Susquehanna Valley in a few months.

Britany Nola, 21, of Hawley, Wayne County, spoke to The Daily Item recently and said she isn’t the typical Playboy Playmate.

“I was asked after I did some movie roles,” she said. “This was one and done for me.”

Since the Playboy shoot, she has resumed her modeling career.

Nola said while she visited the mansion she was fascinated by what she saw.

“All the girls were so nice,” she said. “It is a really great place.”

Nola said she wasn’t sure what to expect when she met the main man — Hugh Hefner.

“He was really sweet and quiet,” she said. “But he was really nice and it was a great experience to meet him.”

Nola said she wouldn’t be dating Hefner anytime soon, but she did take advantage of his hospitality.

“There is a 24-hour kitchen,” she said. “You can get food anytime you want and there is a secret pantry with all kinds of snacks available.”

Nola said she is originally from Canada but graduated from Wallenpaupack Area High School and since the magazine was released, she has received several texts from old classmates.

“It’s kind of weird because of the nature of the pictures,” she said. “But I looked at them and I’m not ashamed of anything I did.”

Nola said the only thing she fears is receiving a message from a former teacher.

“Now that can be awkward,” she said. “I loved all my high school teachers but if I get any comments, it is what it is.”

Nola has two brothers, ages 16 and 28, and two older sisters, ages 29 and 40, and that her family was not against the pictures but they don’t discuss them at family functions.

“We don’t talk about it,” she joked. “It was something that I had the opportunity to do and I took it. I’m sure my older brother will see stuff but what can you do.”

Nola plans on visiting the Valley in the near future. “I’m not exactly sure when but I know we go around and speak and I know we are coming that way somewhere,” she said. “I look forward to visiting the Valley again anyway. I was there years ago.”
