A night of barbershop at the Community Theatre

WILLIAMSPORT — The West Branch and Heart of Pennsylvania Choruses, local men and women’s barbershop groups, will entertain with a variety of music, jokes and stories on Friday, Nov. 9,  at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Theater League in Williamsport. 

The West Branch Chorus, based in Lewisburg, is under the direction of Matt Poremsky, assisted by Kevin Zimmerman.  The group will sing fan favorites such as “Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” “Hello! My Baby,” “I’ll Fly Away,” and two great medleys from “The Music Man.” 

Three men’s quartets will also be entertaining including Enduring Chords, WB4, A Long Way from Perfect, and the ever-popular group, Achording to Dad.   Master of Ceremonies for the men’s group will be Dale Thomas.

The female group, the Heart of Pennsylvania Chorus, is under the direction of Dee Casteel, and will entertain with such songs as “That’ll Be the Day,” “I’m Beginning to See the Light,” and The Carpenters’ “Top of the World.” 

Two women’s quartets, Generation Gap and Heart’s Desire, will also perform and Bev Staman will emcee.

Tickets are two for $25 or $15 for adults and $8 for students and can be purchased at or by calling 327-1777.
