— Let’s start off with a new thing, the Country Rubber Band at the Mifflinburg Moose from 8-midnight tonight. Classic rock and country with a kick. Ricky and Harv will be at Marley’s, on Main Street in Bloomsburg from 10-1, and McGuigan’s Public House in Sunbury has a double bill, with Greg Snyder from 6-9 p.m. and Something Borrowed from 10-1 a.m. Finally, the Frank Wicher Band is hanging at The Hilltop on Route 45 west of Danville from 8-11 p.m.
And if you’re up for a bit of a road trip, the fabulous bluegrass, country and folk band Cabinet is at the Elk Creek cafe and Ale Works on Route 45 in Millheim at 8 p.m. PA Crude is on tap to play for dancing during the Purple Tie Dinner at the Sunbury Social Club. The event is a fund-raiser for the Friends of Shikellamy State Park, the folks who bring you those wonderful Sunday brunches in the park with live music during the summer, as well as the outstanding Overlook concerts. The shindig starts at 5:30 and runs through 11 p.m. If you don’t care to do the whole dinner thing and all, you can drop in for the music from 9-11 for just $5.
Send your music news to me at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday evening to see it in this column on Thursday. I’m also looking for photos, so send them as well.
