— Happy Fourth of July, everyone! It’s hard to believe that July is here already. I wish you all a safe and joyful day. I know that there are lots of fireworks in our area, but Williamsport hosts Set the Night to Music. This event includes many local bands that will be performing live in Williamsport for the fireworks show tonight.
The Out Among The Stars (O.A.T.S.) Festival takes place today through Sunday — that’s four full days of music, fun and camping; 26 performers in all. Visit www.oatsfestival.com or call (908) 464-9495
Elsewhere Pa Crude will will rock the 4th of July celebration being held at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club, located on Country Club Drive, Selinsgrove (behind the Dairy Queen on Route 15).
Pineknotter Days are in full swing in Northumberland. The Frank Wicher Band will be on stage tonight from 7 to 8 and again at 9 until 10. You don’t want to miss this rowdie cowboy and his band! They play original songs written by Frank as well as some of the best cover songs in the country genre. The stage is at the end of the park on King Street. Be sure to bring a chair or a blanket.
Please send news about music and venues to Terry Baylor (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 5 p.m. on Monday for inclusion in Thursday’s “Now Here This.” Photos always welcome.
