The anniversary show at the King Street Coffeehouse in Northumberland happens this evening. This is number 17 — quite an accomplishment for a music venue anywhere, and two of the performers booked for tonight’s show were there for the first show way back in the last century.
The Nate Myers Trio, Ann Kerstetter and the All-Star Band of Cronies, with special guest Dave Thompson, and the Frank Wicher Band are featured, and both Nate and Frank performed in that first show. This will be a great night of music and fun, I guarantee it.
For this show, the Townside Garden Cafe is catering dinner, and the doors open at 6 p.m. The music starts at 7 p.m., and you better get there early for a good seat. That’s at 353 Front St., Northumberland, and the cover is $7, a real deal.
Also tonight, Karen Nogle and Mark Tomeo will be at McGuigan’s Public House at Third and Market streets in Sunbury from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Karen tells me they have some new numbers to try out, so it should be a good show.
Meanwhile, Ricky and Harv are at the Scarlet D on Chestnut Street in Mifflinburg from 8-11 p.m.
Send music news to firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on Monday for inclusion in “Now Hear This.” Photos always welcome. And thanks.
