Homecoming for The Badlees

NORTHUMBERLAND — They are bad in an excellent way and that makes them so good.

For the past 22 years, The Badlees, the area’s own musical royalty and expert song makers, have been bringing their trademark brand of music to area and nationwide fans.

Now the six-piece, high-energy band will bring its classic rock and roll style to The Front Street Station in Northumberland Saturday, Nov. 24, for a night jam-packed with great music and great times.

“This is like a homecoming for us. We are really looking forward to playing Front Street and have played there many times in the past. We always have an amazing time,” said Bret Alexander, guitarist for the band since day one. “We’ll be playing all our old songs, some new material and songs from our latest release. So it will be a night filled with music and a lot of fun.”

Their latest album, “See Me As A Picture: The Best So Far,” is an 18-song treasure-trove filled with the band’s signature sounds from the past 20 years highlighting the band’s gift for making music.

“We wanted to create an album featuring all our greatest hits our fans would appreciate as well as create something that was a sampling of our music over the years for the newer fans. That way they will be able to get a better sense of our music and who we are,” Alexander said.

And what they are is a truly classic rock band that brings a distinct style of lyrics and sound to every note they play.

Their musical history includes a couple of major label record deals, radio hits and national praise for their sound and songs.

And the band, which has added and lost a few members over the years, shows no sign of slowing down. In fact, the band is currently working on its eighth full-length album, which will be released late next year.
