WWE superstars ready to descend on Sunbury

SUNBURY — Former WWE superstar Carlito Colon is already pumped up to perform for wrestling fans at Shikellamy High School Saturday night.

“I’m excited and thrilled to be part of this event,” Carlito said Tuesday. “It will be a great night of action.”

Carlito will be joined by former WWE superstars Razor Ramon, X-Pac, Gene Snistky, Manu and Headshrinker Samu when WXWC4 takes over the Phil Lockcuff Field House Saturday at 7:30 p.m. for an evening to benefit Sunbury Celebration’s fireworks display.

Scott Hall, formerly known as Razor Ramon, was recently inducted in the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame class of 2014, also expressed excitement about meeting local fans.

“Hey-yo. Get ready, Sunbury, to meet the ’bad’ guy,” he said.

Hall will be at ringside when his son, Cody Hall, teams up with X-Pac to form the new “Outsiders” taking on the Sons of Samoa, which includes Manu and LA Smooth.

Tommy Rotten from the award-winning motion picture “The Wrestler” will also be in attendance.

Radio personality Drew Kelly from 94.1 WQKX, Shikellamy Superintendent Pat Kelley and High School Principal Ernie Jackson will also make an appearance. In the ring. Really. (But whether they’ll wrestle each other or anyone else, well, you’ll just have to attend and find out.)

There will be a special lumberjack match where 20 Shikellamy students will surround the ring and ensure there is no funny business taking place.

WXWC4 promises several other guest appearances.

“This will be a great day for wrestling fans and for the city of Sunbury,” said CEO of WXWC4 Headshrinker Samu. “We are excited to get to town.”

Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the city clerk’s office. Tickets prices range from $17 for floor seating and $12 for general admission bleacher seats.
