— It’s music with a mission at the Weis Center in Lewisburg when 10 local musicians and groups donate their time and talents for a fundraiser to benefit Dr. Michael Baker. A local chiropractor, Baker has inoperable brain cancer and could use a helping hand.
Admission is free but donations are gladly accepted to the Michael P. Baker Medical Fund to offset the costs of his medical treatment.
Have a hankering for some country tunes and down-home style fun? Then head on over to the Milton Moose when the Frank Wicher Band performs from 9 p.m. to midnight. There is no cover and a Frank Wicher show never disappoints.
Back at the Route 61 Roadhouse, the talents of Nick Coyle will make for a great night out. He’s there from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. No cover charge, only some good sounding tunes.
Up in Williamsport the Bullfrog Brewery welcomes the popular area band Keystone Ska Exchange from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.. Founded in 2007, this quartet jams out dance tunes that keep people dancing until the very last song. The show is free and certainly worth a listen.
After eons of being in the shadows of the spotlight, fate or karma, Harvey Yong has received top billing for an 8 to 11 p.m. gig at The Den on Route 61 when Harvey and Rick will crank out some mighty fine tines. May all the townsfolk descend upon The Den to celebrate.
