Now Hear This: Saturday, Sept. 21

Woody Wolfe will be at the Ferry Street Growers Market in Danville from 9 a.m. to noon today. This is a nice little market with high quality foods and veggies.

Royal Benson and Sean Farley with Dave Lynn will entertain the folks attending the Lake Augusta Wine and Brew Festival being held at the Sunbury Amphitheater from 2-6. Tickets can be purchased at the Hotel Edison, Brewers Outlet or by calling (570) 286-7768. The cost is $25 per person.

The second annual Downtown Billtown Music Fest kicks off at 4 p.m. at the Community Arts Center, 220 W. 4th St., Williamsport. Some great bands will be on hand: JR Scott, the Urban Souls (from the Uptown Music Collective), the Sauers Family Trio, Dirty MoJo Blues Band, the Frank Wicher Band, Clyde Frog, Audiobox and a special comeback reunion of Rubber Soul!

Also on Saturday, Brandon Barnhart is at the Meiserville Inn from 7-9.  The Frank Wicher Band is at Balzano’s in Bloomsburg from 8-11 and  Aftermath is at theFriendship Hose Company in Sunbury at 10.  There’s a $3 cover.

Elsewhere, GC&Co. are at the Milton Moose on Front Street from 9 to midnight. Ousting Alice is at McGuigan’s in Sunbury for Oldies Night from 10-1 and Ricky and Harv are at the Scarlet D in Mifflinburg from 8-11.

Last but not least, Lizard Creek will be at Puirseil’s in Lewisburg for their “halfway to St. Patty’s Day” celebration.  They do a mix of Celtic sing-a-longs, sea shanties and classic rock. It all starts at 8 and there’s no cover. Call (570) 523-6000 for more information or reservations.
