If you like bluegrass, make your way over to the Susquehanna University campus in Selinsgrove this evening. The “Blast on the Grass,” on the lawn in front of the Degenstein Center, features Stained Grass Window, Hannah Bingman and Van Wagner, starting at 6 p.m. It’s a musical celebration marking the 25th anniversary of the Upper Susquehanna Synod of the Lutheran Church, and it’s free.
Elsewhere tonight, PA Crude “lite” (no drums) will be at the Meiserville Inn down there on Route 104 in Snyder County from 7-10 p.m. and Jim McClincy is at the White Oaks Restaurant and Tavern on Route 225 between Herndon and Dornsife from 7-10 p.m.
The deck is open at the Shade Mountain Winery between Middleburg and Penn’s Creek, and tonight from 5:30-7:30, the Folk Justice Band will be rockin’ out there. On the terrace at Front Street Station in Northumberland, Kimbo and Bryan will be playing a wide array of rock, jazz, blues and ballads from 7-10 p.m.
Please send news about music and venues to Terry Martin (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 5 p.m. on Monday for inclusion in Thursday’s “Now Here This.” Photos always welcome.
