'Disco Pigs' for mature audiences only

BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble’s 2013 Intern Project is “Disco Pigs,” featuring ensemble interns Eric Wunsch and McCambridge Dowd-Whipple. “Disco Pigs,” directed by Daniel Roth, will be presented now through June 23 at 7:30 p.m. (Sunday at 3 p.m.) at the Alvina Krause Theater, 226 Center St., Bloomsburg.

As the self-proclaimed king and queen of Cork City, Pig and Runt have been best friends since they were born only seconds apart from each other. Tonight they celebrate their 17th birthday with an evening of frenzied gameplay and belligerent destruction! Join this bizarre twosome as their days of havoc slowly reveal the dark, unspoken complexities of their overtly co-dependent relationship. This super theatrical story examines friendship, unrequited love, and adolescent rebellion through the unique voice of award-winning Irish playwright Enda Walsh.
