Local author publishes novel
MUNCY — Casey Fry, a graduate of Bloomsburg University and author of fantasy, horror and science fiction, has published a novel titled "DeathSpeaker: Hunt" — a story about an assassin and his target. Set 200 years after the world was nearly destroyed by a nuclear war, things have vastly changed and the world is filled with death, disease and those who were changed by it: the PlagueCursed.
Ricker is an assassin determined to hunt down and kill all DeathSpeakers, a type of PlagueCursed that only needs to speak in order to kill everyone within earshot. Mortimer is a DeathSpeaker, kidnapped from his home, his guardian murdered. The two are forced together when the mystical gem Ricker is searching for falls into the hands of Mortimer’s kidnappers, and Ricker suddenly stops being the hunter and becomes the prey.
This book is the first book in a trilogy. It is available at both Amazon.com (paperback, $16.99) and Barnesandnoble.com.
