Art show includes works from 142 area artists



The best of show piece, “Sherfy House On the Gettysburg Battlefield,” by Julie Riker is a beautiful oil painting, with great texture and style.

Besides Riker’s winning entry, other winners included, in the adult advanced category, Naomi Ilgenfritz (opaque/oils, acrylics, pastels), Vicki Renn (watercolors), John Troxell (photography) and Sharon McCuen (other).

Adult intermediate winners are Paul Tuckmantel (opaque/oils, acrylics, pastels), Carole Ewing (watercolors), Erin Venarchick (photography), and Elizabeth Shemory (other).

Adult beginner winners are Donna Reynolds (opaque/oils, acrylics, pastels), Judith Bauer (watercolors), Jennifer Klinger (photography), and Shelly Emery (other).

Winners in the student category are Logan Carpenter (opaque/oils, acrylics, pastels), Garrett Howell (watercolors), Nathan Klinger (photography), and Abbey Noll (other).

Deeds of War winners were Tom Wise (advanced), Barbara Christine (intermediate), Dolores Komlos (beginner) and Lauren Noll (student).

The artwork will be on display until Aug. 21, and is open to the public during library hours plus Saturday, Aug. 17, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
