Mayfest in Mifflinburg happens today from 10-6. They’ll be blocking off Quarry Road between Fourth and Sixth streets and Fifth from Quarry Road to Green Street. Lots going on, including live music by Karen Nogle and Mark Tomeo, Black Tie, Rocky’s Revival and Beverly Conrad, and there will even be a maypole for cavorting around. Sounds like a good way to enjoy a spring Saturday.
John Sweeney will be at Edith’s Kitchen in Catawissa from 6-8, and he’ll be joined by Kent Stewart, a crackerjack guitarist visiting from Colorado. The Royal We will be at McGuigan’s Public House from 6:30-8:30, and Duck Duck Goose takes on the Hilltop on Route 642 between Danville and Lewisburg starting at 9 p.m. At Puirseil’s in Lewisburg, you can enjoy the jazz stylings of Juice, featuring Elisabeth Guerrero on vocals, backed by Don Krech, Bill Flack and Stu Shrawder, from 7-9 p.m.
