Now Hear This: Thursday, Feb. 14

Hey, it’s Valentine’s Day. What better excuse do you need to go out with your sweetie or honey or whomever for a nice dinner and some live music?

Three Valley venues feature such a romantic combination this evening. Call for reservations right now, as soon as you finish reading.

Beverly Conrad will be at Puirseil’s Irish Pub on Sixth Street in Lewisburg from 6-8 p.m, backed this week by Harry Apfelbaum. (523-6000) Piano man Greg Burgess, her usual partner, will be at Penn’s Tavern, downriver from Sunbury on Route 147 at Fisher’s Ferry from 6-9 p.m. (286-2007) The Little Paris Jazz Trio will make a night of it at Emma’s Food For Life on Market Street in Selinsgrove from 6-8 p.m. (374-0178) Finally, Jim McClincy, the still singing although now retired mailman, will be at Edith’s Kitchen in Catawissa from 6-8 p.m. with love songs. (356-7096).

Send music news about gigs and venues to wayne.laepple@gmail.com by Monday evening for inclusion in “Now Hear This.” Photos encouraged
