Catch some free jazz Wednesday night


LEWISBURG — New York City jazz vocalist Marianne Solivan and her Quartet will perform in concert Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Weis Center for the Performing Arts at Bucknell University.

The free performance is part of the Janet Weis Jazz Series. Tickets are not required.

The 2009 Jazzmobile Vocal Competition finalist has graced recital halls, jam sessions and club stages with such noted musicians as Roy Hargrove, Steve Lacy, Jeremy Pelt, Ray Gallon, Ugonna Ukegwo, and Jane Monheit's sidemen Neal Minor and Michael Kanan. Solivan's album, "Prisoner of Love," received 4 Stars
