SPCA offers adoption specials

DANVILLE – The Danville Adoption Center of the Pennsylvania SPCA is running adoption specials for cats and for seniors citizens wanting to adopt cats and small dogs.

Cats 1 year-old and older can be adopted for $10 plus tax to help cover the cost of their vaccinations and spaying and neutering procedures, according to Shelter Manager Jan Hoffman.

Senior citizens, or people 60 and older, can adopt a cat 1- year-old or older for free.

Young cats six months to 1 year will be available for adoption for $20 plus tax.

Senior citizens can adopt a young cat for $10 plus tax.

Kittens 6 months or younger will be available for $75 plus tax, which is the regular fee, or at a special adoption fee of two kittens for $100 plus tax.

Senior citizens will be able to adopt a kitten for $35 plus tax or two kittens for $50 plus tax.

Seniors can also adopt a small dog from the cat room for $35 plus tax.

The shelter, at 2801 Bloom Road, is open from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily.
