— Fridays always start with Alf Bashore on the dulcimer at Brews N Bytes, 20 Lower Mulberry St., Danville, from noon-2 p.m. What a calming way to end the work week.
Later, the Route 61 Roadhouse in The Market House, Sunbury, is hosting an open bluegrass jam from 7-10 p.m. Bluegrass musicians welcome — bring your instruments. Also on Market Street in Sunbury, Larry Smith will be playing at McGuigan’s Pub from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
John Sweeney and friends will be playing at The Stairwell Gallery, 203 W. Main St., Bloomsburg. The music begins at 6 p.m. You can enjoy the many works of art that will be on display while enjoying some great live music.
The Frank Wicher Band will be at the Links at Buckhorn Friday from 8-11 p.m. while the Pablo Zeigler Classical Tango Quartet will be at The Weis Center for the Performing Arts. Show starts at 7:30. Tickets can be pre-ordered at www.Bucknell.edu/WeisCenter.
Red Halo, a Shamokin-based classic rock band, is very busy these days. tonight they will be at Good Will Hose Co., 500 Reagan St. from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. and on Saturday, they will be at The Den, near Sunbury at the intersection of 890 and 61 south, starting at 10 p.m.
The band just celebrated the national release of its first video for their song “Fly Me Courageous.” Available on iTunes, the video has held the #1 position for the past several weeks on Reverbnation and Internet radio station “Our Town Radio.”
