— Today is the first First Friday of the season in Williamsport with lots of live music scattered throughout Williamsport venues. A complete list of bands and venues was not available at deadline, but for more information, check www.billtownlive.com. It’s a wonderful resource for the Williamsport area. The website was developed and maintained by musician and web designer Joel Vincent, drummer for the Blind Chitlin Kahunas.
Ann Kerstetter and Bryan Noaker will perform as a duet at The Scarlet D in Mifflinburg at 8 p.m. Rusty Foulke of Hybrid Ice is at The Toftrees, State College, 4-9 p.m. Locomotive Disaster will be at the Riverside Campground’s (in Montgomery) Chili Cook-Off at 10 p.m. And Ricky & Harv at McGuigan’s Public House in Sunbury from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Blue River Spell (Karen Nogle, vocals; Rick Findlay, keys; Andy Seal, bass; Jim Kerber, drums, and Ted DiCola, sax) will be adding a splash of class with some great jazz and cool instrumentals at Fero Vineyards on JPM Road in Lewisburg for their First Friday FUNdraiser from 5:30-7:30 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge. Funds raised support the Eastern Union County Supplemental Food Program. Canned goods or a monetary donation which, along with 10 percent of Fero’s wine sales that night, will be donated to the charity.
Elsewhere, Swing-Nova will perform at the Aaronsburg Civic Club Community Building 5-7 p.m. as part of their Wing Night.
Doug McMin will put on a solo acoustic show over the dinner hours at Barrel 135,135 W. Third St., Williamsport.
And also, The Blind Chitlin Kahunas will be at the Fourth Street Grill in The Genetti Hotel, Williamsport while Miz Ida & The All Nighta’s will be at The Brickyard (outdoor stage-weather permitting) at 7 p.m.
