Now Hear This: Friday, Dec. 6

By Terry Baylor
For The Daily Item

— How do you start your Friday fun? With Alf Bashore playing soulful dulcimer music at Brews N Bytes, Lower Mulberry St., Danville, for the lunch crowd from noon to 2.

Ann Kerstetter and her band will be playing Fero Winery in Lewisburg for a Toys for Tots fundraiser. Come out tonight to this fairly-new winery on JPM Road and see a great band, enjoy some great wine, all to help bring some joy to a child on Christmas. Please bring unwrapped toys so they can be distributed to children of the appropriate age.

Ricky and Harv will be at McGuigans, Market Street, Sunbury, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Reverend Blue Jeans will play at a toy drive/bike run at Mindy’s Tavern on  Route 405, Milton. Remember to bring an unwrapped toy if you go. The music begins at 9 p.m. Call (570) 522-0477 for more details.

At The Bullfrog Brewery, 229 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, The Blue Pill Band will open up for The Blind Chitlin Kahunas. The Bullfrog has a nice atmosphere with lots of seating in the bar area. If you would rather be a little farther away, you can be seated in the back dining room. Music begins at 9 p.m.

If you are a little to the south, Tubby’s at 6 Inn Road, Duncannon, is serving up some rock and roll with hormones! Tubby’s welcomes back Take 147 — a chick band from the Harrisburg area. There is no cover charge for this show.

If you or your band have upcoming shows, e-mail nowhearthispa@gmail.com by 5 p.m. Monday for inclusion in Now Hear This. Photos always welcome.
