Ann Kersetter Trio heats up Skeeter’s

SHAMOKIN DAM -- Skeeter’s BBQ in Shamokin Dam is noted for their ribs. On Sunday night they will also be a lot of ham … and it sounds divine, thanks to Ann Kersetter and her sidekicks.

“We love to engage our audience, it’s not enough just to have great music but we want to entertain you too. I’m a natural ham without a doubt and I love to joke on stage, Bill gets his mojo working and poor Bryan is the goat of my endless badgering of his forlorn love, so you get a show with more than music. Hopefully a bit of fun too.”

The manly duo Kersetter speaks of are none other than Bill Stetz on upright bass and Bryan Noaker on guitar and vocals.

From 5 to 8 p.m., the trio will serve up a heaping helping of blues, jazz and some get down groove music that highlights Norry’s own Groove Goddess’ powerful voice and attitude.

“We are a group of friends and if you come hear the trio or Ann K band, above all we are friends, all equals when performing. I have no time for egos,” Kersetter said. “We are enjoying making music together. If fun and friendship were not part of it, then I really don’t want to do it.”

For the past seven years, Kersetter has made a name (once again) for herself and rightfully become one of the area’s best performers.

With a voice that goes well with a sassy blues tune or a melancholy jazz song, Kersetter can effortlessly shift gears to accommodate any song that comes her way.

“I continue to sing all styles of music which include my originals, classic rock and, of course, blues and jazz. We have added some big changes since the addition of Bryan Noaker,” she said. “Besides his incredible guitar work, he has an incredible voice, which anyone who has heard him perform with Kimbo will attest.”
